MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. The Neustrashimy patrol ship of the Baltic Fleet will return to the Russian Navy in 2021 after repairs and modernization at the Yantar Baltic Shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation). This was announced in an interview with TASS by the General director of "Yantar" Ilya Samarin.
"2021 will be the year of ship modernization. We must put into operation the research vessel "Eugene Goriglejan", built as a result of the modernization of the sea tug, as well as complete the deep modernization of the patrol ship "Intrepid". We expect that the first will be "Undaunted", and by the end of the year "Goriglejan", - he said.
According to him, the next task is to complete the sea trials of the Voevoda emergency rescue vessel, the customer of which is the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The patrol ship "Undaunted" came to the plant for repairs and modernization in 2014. The timing of its return to service has been repeatedly postponed for a number of reasons. This was supposed to happen in 2017.
