TSAMTO, February 17. Rosoboronexport JSC (part of Rostec Group) will show the main novelties of the Russian defense industry and the most popular Russian weapons in the world at the International Defense Exhibition IDEX 2021, which will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from February 21 to 25.
IDEX is the most important platform for the exchange of experience and technologies, as well as the most important international forum that provides exclusive opportunities for establishing new partnerships.
"The Middle East and North Africa are among the key customers in the arms market today. The region accounts for about 1/3 of the total market volume. Weapons with the brand "Made in Russia" are well known here and are in high demand. It has proven itself to be the best in difficult climatic conditions – at sea, on land and in the air. Given all of the above, the region is very important for us. By the end of 2020, the countries of the region accounted for more than 50% of all exports through Rosoboronexport. In addition to the growth of export volumes and the supplied nomenclature, we have significantly expanded the geography of cooperation in the region. In 2021, these positive trends will continue in accordance with the tasks set by the country's leadership," said Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
At IDEX 2021, Rosoboronexport traditionally acts as the organizer of the unified Russian exposition, which in total occupies more than 1,200 square meters of exhibition space in Hall No. 12. The exhibition will feature the products of the leading holdings of the State Corporation Rostec, including JSC NPO High-Precision Complexes, JSC NPK Uralvagonzavod, JSC Concern Kalashnikov, JSC Technodinamika, JSC OPK, JSC Shvabe, and the largest Russian defense industry companies JSC Concern East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey, JSC Concern Morinsis-Agat, JSC NPO RusBITech, Project-Technika Corporation and Kazan State Treasury gunpowder factory.
The unified Russian exposition is focused on demonstrating means and solutions to respond to modern threats and security challenges, and primarily in the context of the development of means of attack, including missile weapons of various ranges and attack UAVs. Rosoboronexport will present at IDEX 2021 approaches and solutions to the challenges of countering, first of all, terrorist groups and ensuring the security of important state, infrastructure, transport and energy facilities.
"In Abu Dhabi, Rosoboronexport will show new products of its export catalog, including for the first time in this region-an armored personnel carrier and an infantry fighting vehicle based on the unified wheeled combat platform "Boomerang", Antey-4000 air defense system, Viking air defense system and Tor-E2 air defense system. For the first time, we will hold public presentations of the T-14 Armata tank, new Russian-made small arms-the KORD submachine guns, the Lebedev pistol and the latest Kalashnikov AK 19 assault rifle, talk about the anti-drone system – a new integrated solution of Rosoboronexport, as well as about Russian – made training complexes," added Alexander Mikheev.
Rosoboronexport will demonstrate more than 400 types of military products at its stand. The company will show a number of promising samples of defense products for the first time abroad at the multimedia globe, an advertising and exhibition novelty developed in Russia.
At the Rosoboronexport stand, models of aviation equipment will be presented – the Su-35 multi-purpose super-maneuverable fighter and the Mi-38T transport and amphibious helicopter, which can significantly increase the combat potential of the aviation group of any country in the Middle East and North Africa, the S – 400 Triumph and Tor-M2KM air defense systems popular in the Middle East market,and the Kupol-PRO anti-drone complex. In the segment of unmanned aircraft, LLC "STC" will present materials on the unmanned complex "Orlan 10E".
In the naval part of the exposition of the special exporter, the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation will present models of the patrol ship project 22160 and the small missile ship project 22800E Karakurt-E.
The increased interest of the public is expected by JSC "Plant named after V. A. Degtyarev", which for the first time abroad demonstrates the new 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm KORD automatic rifle, and LLC "KBIS" with the Lobaev Arms DVL-10M1 "Saboteur", TSVL-8 "Stalingrad", DXL-3 "Retribution" and DXL-4 "Sevastopol"brand high-precision long-range rifles already known to specialists. Also on the stand of Rosoboronexport will be placed models of armored vehicles of the Typhoon and Tornado families.
During IDEX-2021, Rosoboronexport will conduct an extensive business program. Meetings and negotiations with representatives of the military-political leadership and the business community of the Middle East and North Africa are planned.
