Russian Su-27 naval aviation fighters of the Baltic Fleet (BF) will conduct exercises in the Kaliningrad region to destroy strategic bombers of a simulated enemy, RIA Novosti reports, adding that in February it is planned to transfer American B-1B Lancer to Norway.
"The fighters will perform tasks to intercept simulated aircraft that violate the borders of the Kaliningrad region, as well as make missile launches at targets that simulate cruise missiles and strategic bombers of a simulated enemy," the BF said.
As part of the exercise, it is planned to perform real firing of air-to-air missiles at air targets. In total, more than ten Su-27 aircraft will be involved in the event.
