TSAMTO, February 12. Military personnel of the intelligence units of the separate motorized rifle brigade of the Northern Fleet worked out the tactics of raiding operations in the Arctic on two-link snowmobiles "Aleut".
The training was held at a military training ground in the Pechengsky district of the Murmansk region in difficult weather conditions.
The scouts worked out the organization of the ambush, as well as the conduct of the battle when repelling the attack of a conditional enemy.
The drivers of the all-terrain vehicles confidently stormed the natural obstacles of the Arctic forest tundra, and also practiced driving through deep snow.
For reference:
The Aleut snowmobiles entered service with a separate motorized rifle brigade of the Northern Fleet several years ago and have proven themselves well in the harsh conditions of the Far North and the Arctic. The vehicles are easy to drive, have high cross-country capability and are successfully used for transporting personnel in off-road conditions.
All-terrain vehicles "Aleut" have repeatedly been involved in tactical exercises with units of the Land and Coastal Forces of the Northern Fleet on the Kola Peninsula, on Taimyr, as well as on some islands of the Russian archipelagos of the Arctic Ocean, the press service of the SF reports.
