MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Severnaya Verf (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) will deliver five ships and vessels to customers in the near future. This was reported to TASS by the general director of the enterprise Igor Orlov.
"In 2020, we handed over two ships to the Ministry of Defense. Ahead are three "fishermen" (fishing vessels-approx. TASS), two warships, " he said, answering a question about the company's delivery plans for the near future.
Under the state defense order, Severnaya Verf builds, in particular, frigates of project 22350 and a modernized project under this number, as well as corvettes of project 20385.
To date, the Russian Navy has transferred two frigates of project 22350 - "Admiral Gorshkov" and "Admiral Kasatonov". Four more are under construction, including two - according to the modernized project.
Severnaya Verf built the project 20385 Gremyashchy corvette. Another ship of this project is under construction.
New boathouse
Orlov said that the "Northern Shipyard" will receive a new boathouse for the construction of ships in the ocean zone in 2022.
"It is planned to complete the construction in 2021 and deliver it in 2022," he said.
According to him, the construction of the new boathouse is proceeding according to schedule. Two slipways with a width of more than 50 m and a length of 240 m will be built. There you can put any ships and vessels, the construction of which will be assigned a task from the United Shipbuilding Corporation and the customer.
It is assumed that the new boathouse will be used for the construction of frigates of the project 22350M.
Project 22350M lead frigate
According to Orlov, the date of laying the lead frigate of the project 22350M at the Northern Shipyard has not yet been set.
"The date of laying the lead frigate has not yet been set. The Northern Design Bureau in St. Petersburg is engaged in the development of a new promising ship of the far sea zone," he said.
On the eve of the general director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Alexey Rakhmanov, said that after the modernization, Severnaya Verf will begin construction of modernized frigates of the 22350M project. According to him, they will be even more powerful and well-armed. The state contract for the development and construction of the lead ship has been signed, he added.
According to unconfirmed official data, the frigates of the project 22350M will be able to carry 8 universal ship firing systems, that is, 64 Kalibr-NK and/ or Onyx missiles, and in the future - hypersonic Zircons.
