TSAMTO, January 26. The special purpose brigade of the Central Military District, stationed in the Samara region, will receive a batch of upgraded Tiger-M armored vehicles in 2021 (in total, more than 15 units).
A number of changes have been made to the design of the new version of the Tiger, aimed at improving its operational properties, reliability, ergonomics, bullet and mine protection.
Unlike the Tiger armored vehicles currently in service, the modern vehicles will be equipped with the latest remote-controlled combat module, the Arbalet-DM.
The module is fully stabilized and has the ability to capture and automatically track the target, which allows the operator to conduct effective fire both from the spot and in motion. The thermal imaging camera allows you to recognize a target of the "BTR" type at a distance of 2.5 km, the thermal imaging camera-up to 1.5 km. The sighting system is also equipped with a laser rangefinder. The module is capable of operating in the temperature range from -40 to +50 Deg. C, the press service of the CVO reports.
