In addition, American troops will not be left without a laser gun. The US Air Force signed a contract with Kratos Defense & Security Solutions back in 2010. In 2014, experts assembled and tested a demonstration sample of the gun. In 2020 the capacity of 60 kW have appeared on the USS Preble. By 2022, analysts expect the appearance of guns with a capacity of 300 kW, which will allow the gun to destroy not only small drones, but also missiles.
