In the coming year, regiments and divisions of the Strategic Missile Forces will continue to provide new special equipment, including modern anti-sabotage vehicles.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, over the past nine years, the Strategic Missile Forces have received, among other things, about 70 special vehicles "Typhoon-M". And such purchases, according to the department, in the interests of strategic troops will be carried out further.
Anti-sabotage "Typhoon" is designed for conducting reconnaissance in positional areas in the radar, optical and infrared wave ranges. And also to combat enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups on the routes of combat patrol of mobile nuclear complexes.
Such strike systems have always been and will remain the enemy's number one target. It is considered ideal when strategic complexes can be disabled or destroyed before the start of hostilities. To do this, in any large army in the world, special sabotage units are prepared. And the task of the rocket men is to detect and neutralize them in time. Counteraction to saboteurs and terrorists is constantly practiced in our Strategic Missile Forces. Moreover, a significant place in such operations is given to mobile security and defense systems.
"Typhoon", created on the basis of an armored personnel carrier BTR-82, just such applies. The vehicle is equipped with a navigation system and means of countering radio-controlled explosive devices, a thermal imager for night reconnaissance, an echolocation system and an unmanned aerial vehicle for aerial surveillance.
This technique is able to detect enemy objects at a distance of up to 5 kilometers, and foot saboteurs - from three.
Along with the" Typhoon", the troops also receive a unique simulator for training personnel. Thanks to its versatility, it allows you to prepare the entire crew of the anti-sabotage machine-from the driver to the shooter of the remotely controlled weapons platform.
