The Russian Defense Ministry will increase purchases of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters, the ministry said. The car is unique both in terms of technical and tactical characteristics, and in terms of price. Even the Japanese are interested in it. And American experts are not shy about compliments.
The first serial contract for the supply of 76 Su-57 vehicles to the troops was signed at the Army forum in the summer of 2019. The first car under this contract was recently transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The first production Su-57 is located at the Chkalov State Flight Test Center (GLIC), where it will be used to test the latest aviation hypersonic weapons.
The fighter is unique in its characteristics. The design provides it with the highest level of maneuverability and advantageous characteristics for conducting combat. Moreover, it is almost invisible to the systems of a potential enemy, can use a variety of air – to-air missiles, as well as weapons to defeat ground targets. In addition, it was possible to significantly reduce the cost of the Su-57, which allowed to optimize the process of its production, writes the American edition of The National Interest, recognizing that the Russian fighter is a real threat to NATO forces.
