TSAMTO, November 10. The crew of the rescue ship "Commune" of the black sea fleet makes the transition from Sevastopol to the Novorossiysk naval base to take on Board the deep-water vehicle as-28, which arrived by rail after the modernization was completed at the ship repair plant in St. Petersburg.
The rescue vessel left Sevastopol to receive the as-28 on the "Commune", which is a regular carrier of the deep-sea vehicle.
After unloading the as-28 from the railway platform, the specialists of the black sea fleet search and rescue Department will prepare the vehicle for launching and lifting it to the rescue vessel "Commune", after which the ship's crew will make the transition to Sevastopol and prepare the device for performing the assigned tasks.
The as-28 deep-sea vehicle underwent modernization and scheduled repairs at a ship repair plant in St. Petersburg, where it was equipped with modern traffic control systems, sound-and-water communications and video surveillance equipment, the press service of the southern military district reports.
