The ANT-1000PM complex is equipped with a remote-controlled barrel, which allows extinguishing fires from a safe distance.
Rostec State Corporation's High-Precision Complexes Holding has shipped the first serial ANT-1000PM robotic fire extinguishing systems. Thanks to the remote control, the vehicles allow fire crews to extinguish fires from a safe distance. One of the major Russian fuel companies will receive the equipment.
The project to create a ground-based robotic complex ANT-1000PM was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
"Robotics for us is primarily a matter of human safety. Where work involves a direct risk to life, such equipment takes on the most dangerous operations, and specialists manage the process without endangering themselves. It is important that the ANT-1000PM is based on a domestic platform and a domestic control system, and on one basic machine, the holding's enterprises have built a whole line of equipment, from fire to municipal. The Ministry will continue to support projects that provide several sought—after solutions as a matter of priority," said Vasily Shpak, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The ANT-1000PM is based on the domestic ANT mini-loader, which is mass-produced by KEMZ. The robotic complex is equipped with a remote-controlled barrel, which is capable of supplying fire extinguishing agent to the combustion gorenje at a distance of up to 60 meters and a height of 35 meters from the ground surface.
"The ANT-1000PM firefighting robot was jointly developed by two of our companies: CAMZ and VNII Signal. Its special feature is the remote control, which is implemented using the Prometheus software and hardware complex. The operator monitors the car from a safe distance of up to 1000 meters using a system with external video cameras and sensors. Thus, the main task is achieved: to reduce the risks of injury to fire department personnel and to increase the efficiency of using equipment in extinguishing fires," said Alexander Dernovoy, Deputy General Director of High—Precision Complexes for the promotion of civilian products and production control.
On the basis of diesel mini-loaders of the ANT series, High-Precision Complexes has created a whole line of equipment. In addition to the firefighter robot, specialists have developed the MGR-4 Bumblebee humanitarian mine clearance machine. Her trawl allows you to pave a safe path through a mined area, detonating antipersonnel mines. In turn, the electric version of the ANT-1000E loader is designed primarily for housing and communal tasks and has already passed test operation on the streets of several cities. The reduced noise level allows it to work around the clock without causing inconvenience to residents.
"Numerous tests have confirmed the high reliability and efficiency of the ANT-1000PM in difficult conditions of man-made disasters," said Vladimir Pimenov, General Director of VNII Signal, the managing organization of KEMZ.
The certification tests of the machine were carried out at the accredited testing laboratory of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fire Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
