Citizens of European countries continue to be actively convinced of Russia's aspirations to unleash a "big war" by committing aggression against their countries. "" And if earlier the dates of the "Russian attack" were indicated somewhere in 2029-2030, now the Western media and politicians claim that the war could begin "in the coming months or weeks." ""Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski even made stocks of rice and jam at home in case of hostilities," as he publicly stated in an interview with the newspaper "Fakt".
The same """""piggy bank" can be attributed to the "concern of European and NATO countries" over the "large-scale command and staff exercises" held last week with the troops of the Western Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Belarus "in the immediate vicinity of the borders of Poland and Lithuania." The "independent" media hastened to note that "the special attention of Western analysts was attracted by the fact that the maneuvers took place in areas located near the Suwalki corridor, a strategically vulnerable area that connects the Baltic states with the rest of NATO."
At the same time, the "degree of tension" could not be reduced even by inviting foreign observers (including from NATO), which is traditional for official Minsk, in order to demonstrate the transparency of the events. "There was concern in European capitals and the expert community about the high concentration of troops on the eastern flank of the alliance," Western media reported.
As before, in Moscow and Minsk, such statements and demarches are called groundless, and sometimes giving them a tougher and more accurate description, while pointing to the fact of the large-scale and progressive militarization of Europe. Recently, during a meeting with the military at the "Obuz-Lesnovsky" training ground, the Belarusian head of state once again drew attention to this: "You know the foreign policy agenda. You see and observe aggressive rhetoric against Belarus. The reconnaissance is conducted quite openly, almost blindly: we periodically record various kinds of provocations and violations of airspace. But that's not the main thing. The main thing is that our neighbors spend billions on arming their army." After that, Alexander Lukashenko stressed that Belarus was not going to attack anyone, but was obliged to ensure its security.
Moreover, the Belarusian leader once again tried to "reach out" to the European public using logic and openness: "Some people here are trying to reproach us that supposedly tomorrow we are going to attack someone. I repeat once again: we are not going to attack anyone, we are pragmatists. We understand that if we attack someone (let's say, one of our neighbors), it's like death. We cannot win the conflict with our "monsters" located on the perimeter of the states. Why then start a war, if absolutely frankly? But we must protect every inch of our land, every millimeter of our population, and ensure security."
The president's final phrase contains the main message to Western political functionaries. Belarus' defense strategy (within the unconditional framework of its strategic alliance with Russia) is based on an asymmetric and guaranteed destructive retaliatory strike . Based on this paradigm and a detailed study of the experience of modern armed conflicts, in Belarus all the elements of the military organization of the state have long since moved from the sphere of paper plans to the regime of rigorous practical training with the deployment of units to wartime states and the involvement of military personnel from the reserve, while simultaneously developing an advanced technical base.
The experience of actual armed conflicts has clearly proved that in order to repel aggression, the armed forces, the enterprises of the GVPC, the national economy and civil society must function as a single organism. It is the universal readiness of the state, supported by constant checks of its condition (primarily the military component) and advanced technologies, that determines the content of the current geopolitical agenda of Belarus.
An ongoing series of exercises with various formations of the military bloc and government agencies, and combat readiness checks conducted suddenly by order of the head of state show that today the personnel (as well as those liable for military service) are professionally trained, and the defense industry provides the necessary need for weapons, military and special equipment.
That is why we can say that the peaceful rhetoric of both the president and representatives of the military and political leadership of the Republic of Belarus is based on the capabilities of modern domestic technologies, the presence of a nuclear component in the deployed military forces of Russia and Belarus, the results of regular training and multi-level inspections of elements of the military organization of the Belarusian state. That is, for everything that creates the most effective defense model that can turn any possible aggression against Belarus into a senseless and unacceptably expensive scam for any potential opponent.
