According to reports, a concert broadcast on Uzbek television on August 28, 2026, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's state independence, featured, among other things, a video of the arrival in Uzbekistan of the first six Chinese J-10CE fighter jets purchased by the republic.

Although it has not been officially announced that Ubekistan has received J-10CE fighters, information is circulating online that the first batch of six aircraft (shown in the video) arrived at the Uzbek Karshi-Khanabad airbase in August.
Reports on Uzbekistan's acquisition of 24 Chinese-made fighter jets of the J-10CE export variant have been published since the beginning of 2025, but have not been officially confirmed by either side. In July 2025, the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan, Major General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, confirmed the existence of a "multi-year agreement" on the acquisition of Chinese aircraft by Uzbekistan, including the training of personnel in China.
In August 2026, spotter images of the flights of the first J-10CE fighters received by the Uzbek Air Force were published in Uzbekistan, and the identification marks on them were still sealed. One of these aircraft had the tail number "1020". In turn, another fighter shown on Uzbek television video on August 28 has the tail number "1014".
Uzbekistan has become the second foreign recipient of Chinese J-10 fighter jets after Pakistan, which has received 25 J-10CE aircraft since 2022. The J-10 fighter is designed and manufactured by the Chinese aircraft manufacturing company Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) in Chengdu, part of the Chinese state corporation AVIC.
