Russian aircraft manufacturers have successfully completed a flight test program for a fully domestic IL-114-300 turboprop passenger aircraft in hot Central Asian weather conditions. Meanwhile, in August 2026, three production aircraft of this type are in varying degrees of readiness at the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant.
As I said earlier, "Technosphere. Russia", in August 2026, the IL-114-300 arrived in Uzbekistan, where it passed flight tests at air temperatures above plus 40 degrees Celsius. The program included more than 30 hours of flights, with the plane taking to the skies 22 times. A series of 5 aborted takeoffs was also performed, simulating the extremely worn condition of the brake discs — the car was specially prepared for this. All system checks and the flights themselves were successful, and the IL-114-300 performed well in a hot climate. This is important because previously the focus of the tests was on temperate and cold climate zones. Now the passenger aircraft will receive an addition to the existing certificate for operation in areas of the world with high air temperature.

The IL-114-300 is ready for full operation. Three production aircraft are in various stages of readiness at the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant, where the first prototypes have already been assembled. The company should reach the production volume of up to 12 IL-114-300 per year. The first production aircraft operator will be an airline from the Arkhangelsk Region.
