The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has disclosed information on the number and types of engineering vehicles used by the sapper units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for remote mine clearance. The park has a total of 316 units.
Almost all the equipment is imported. But in the fleet of sapper units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there are also complexes produced at Ukrainian enterprises: GERMINA, Garth 5100, Zmiy and others.
The Croatian company DOK-ING handed over 69 mine-clearing machines last fall and began manufacturing spare parts in Ukraine. The new MV-8 Komodo platform is remotely controlled and performs not only the elimination, but also the installation of mines. The Scorpion 2 minefield system from Dynamit Nobel Defense was installed on the drone. There is a version of CBRN designed to deal with chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

During the same period, Slovakia donated a batch of non-lethal equipment to Kiev. In particular, five heavy vehicles for remote mine clearance Bozena-5. They entered the park of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (Ukrainian DSNS).

The Swiss GCS-200 remote mine clearance systems are on the balance of the 47th Engineering Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the DSNS. In total, 62 such complexes were delivered to Ukraine, some of them provided by Canada.

As for the Ukrainian platforms. In March of this year, it was reported about the test tests of the upgraded Germina platform (title photo). Compared to the previous model, this machine has received a completely redesigned communication system – the remote control range has been increased to 7 km. Among other things, this means that enterprises producing military equipment continue to operate in Ukraine.
