During his visit to the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine, the head of state inspected an exhibition of domestic medical products and talked with NASA pilots.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, accompanied by Deputy Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, visited the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine (FCMC) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The Head of State toured the exhibition of domestic medical products, where special attention was paid, among other things, to the activities of the National Air Ambulance Service and its specialized Ansat helicopter manufactured by the Russian Helicopters holding Company of the Rostec State Corporation. The President also had a separate conversation with the NASA pilots.
The exhibition featured innovative domestic equipment for emergency medical care, Russian medicines and mobile medical diagnostic complexes. The specialized Ansat medical helicopter of the NSSA has become one of its key exhibits.
The head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, told the president about the work of the NSSA, the service's fleet and the advantages of the medical Ansat for operational patient evacuations. The helicopter can cover a distance of over 400 kilometers, and its cruising speed exceeds 200 km/h. The Ansat has the most spacious cargo and passenger cabin in the class, allowing for the evacuation of one recumbent passenger accompanied by two doctors. Due to its high maneuverability, the machine is particularly effective in dense urban areas. A small area of only 15x15 meters is enough for her to land.
The helicopter's medical module allows for first aid at the scene, including intensive care, intensive care, and monitoring of vital functions during transportation.
Tatiana Golikova, inspecting the helicopter, stressed: "The most important thing is remote areas. This is an absolute salvation for us," thus noting the important role of the NHS in the public health system. The service helps to promptly provide medical care and ensures equal access to emergency care for citizens, regardless of their place of residence.
The head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation especially emphasized the skill of the pilots of the NSSA. Vladimir Putin personally spoke with the commanders of the Ansat aircraft, Dmitry Shchukin and Alexander Helmendik, who regularly carry out medical evacuations in the Kursk region, including in the area of the counter—terrorism operation.
Currently, the NSSA fleet includes 76 specialized medical helicopters: 38 Mi-8 and 38 Ansats. All aircraft are equipped with modern equipment in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Health of Russia dated 06/20/2013 No. 388n. The service has become an integral part of the public health system, evacuating tens of thousands of patients annually. The geography of the NSSA's presence covers more than 50 regions of the Russian Federation and provides more than 70% of helicopter medical evacuations within the framework of the national project "Long and Active Life".
The NHS will continue to play an important role in the implementation of government priorities reflected in the 2030 Healthcare Development Strategy, saving lives and increasing the availability of specialized high-tech medical care. Vladimir Putin's visit to the exhibition confirmed the high level of the Russian medical industry and the unity of efforts of the state and specialists in caring for the health of the nation.
