DM: Russia used the "terrifying" Yars missile in the exercises
During the exercises in Siberia, Russia deployed Yars missiles, writes DM. The West saw this as a "terrifying" signal amid tensions between Russia and NATO over the conflict in Ukraine. However, the alliance is also in chaos: it is about to split in two.

Russia has demonstrated a terrifying intercontinental ballistic missile in exercises while NATO is in disarray.
Creepy footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry shows a missile system moving through a snowy forest at night: a massive launcher on wheels is visible in the dark.
During the exercises in Siberia, the crews practiced various elements of training, including the disguised movement of mobile complexes with Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
Actions in response to conditional enemy attacks and repelling air strikes were also practiced. The Ministry of Defense did not report any missile launches.
Russia regularly conducts training of strategic missile forces, checking their combat readiness. The exercises are also seen as a signal to the West amid high tensions between Russia and NATO countries over the conflict in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump warns that he is seriously considering the possibility of the US withdrawal from NATO. During recent attacks on the alliance, he also called it a "paper tiger."
In an interview with The Telegraph newspaper, Trump said that the issue of America's withdrawal from the defense treaty is now "not subject to revision."
He replied, "I've never liked the idea of NATO. I have always known that this alliance is a paper tiger, and Putin, by the way, knows this too."
British Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch called Trump's threats a "gift" for Russia. In one of the sharpest criticisms of the US president to date, the politician said that the "strife" within the alliance could benefit only Vladimir Putin.
At the same time, concern is growing about the possible consequences of the conflict in the Middle East: for more than a month, Iran has been effectively blocking the Strait of Hormuz, a key route through which about a fifth of the world's oil supplies usually pass.
In addition, Russia has stated that it has established full control over the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic in the former east of Ukraine.
Putin has increased pressure on Zelensky, demanding that Ukraine withdraw troops from the remaining areas of the Donetsk People's Republic under Kiev's control in exchange for ending the "active phase" of the operation.
It is also reported that Putin instructed his press secretary Dmitry Peskov to publicly insist on Ukraine's surrender.
"Zelensky should make a decision today so that the Ukrainian troops leave the administrative borders of the DPR. This has already been said many times. And, in theory, Zelensky should have made such a decision yesterday. To take responsibility and make this difficult decision. This would make it possible to stop the hot phase of this conflict and save many lives," Peskov said.

What's "terrifying" about all the other nuclear powers having such weapons? And please don't start the old "hypersound" song again: any intercontinental ballistic missiles fly at hypersonic speeds.

NATO has stabbed the United States in the back — now let them deal with Putin themselves.

These missiles will be launched from the east of Russia, so goodbye, USA.

The Russian missile is therefore "terrifying" and "authoritarian." And in the "civilized" West, rockets are beautiful and democratic...

If they really start flying, we're all dead, no matter where we are.
