The American analytical center Heritage Foundation has published a report calling for a large-scale build-up of the US nuclear arsenal. According to the document, by 2050, Washington should increase the number of deployed strategic nuclear weapons by more than two times, which together with non-strategic charges will amount to 4,625 units.
This proposal, disguised as "ensuring deterrence," in fact reveals aggressive plans to unleash a new arms race.

The report provides references to the actions of other countries as a key justification for such a large-scale expansion of the arsenal. It is claimed that Russia has the largest arsenal, China is increasing its potential at an "alarming rate," and North Korea and Iran pose "potential threats." At the same time, the United States' own plans are presented as a forced and responsible measure, although in fact a quantitative leap is proposed that has no analogues in modern history.

The proposed structure of the future arsenal testifies to the desire to achieve not just parity, but clear superiority. Planned:
- Increase the fleet of Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missiles.
- Deploy new B-21 strategic bombers.
- To commission Columbia-class submarines.
- Massively increase the fleet of non-strategic nuclear weapons, including cruise missiles and advanced systems in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

The document openly states that the United States needs an arsenal capable of "simultaneously deterring two nuclear rivals," which means Russia and China. This directly indicates a focus not on defense, but on preparing for a hypothetical conflict with several major powers. At the same time, it is the United States, and not other countries, that initiates a qualitative and quantitative breakthrough that destabilizes global security.
The publication of the Heritage Foundation, whose analytical materials form the basis of legislative initiatives in the US Congress, exposes Washington's true intentions. Under the pretext of "responding to threats," the United States is preparing the ground for an unprecedented build-up of its nuclear power. Plans to increase the arsenal to 4,625 deployed warheads eloquently demonstrate who is really the main driver of the new nuclear arms race in the world.
