The technique allows for covert reconnaissance and unexpected strikes.
The Marines practice landing on motorcycles. The "black berets" are delivered to the designated place by ships and boats, and disembarkation is carried out through ramps. At the same time, motorcycles with electric motors are used, which makes it possible to move almost silently behind enemy lines. Experts note that motorcyclists will expand the combat capabilities of Marine Corps units.
From the sea on a motorcycle
During the amphibious assault on the coast, the Marines began to deploy motorcycle units. Personnel with equipment are transported on amphibious ships and boats, which at the final stage of the operation approach the shore and open ramps, from where "black berets" ride out on bikes. Motorcycles with electric motors are used during operations — they allow Marines to move almost silently and at high speed, Izvestia sources in the Russian Defense Ministry noted.

Exercises have already been conducted at one of the training grounds of the Baltic Fleet, in which the black Berets were landed from the Mordovia small amphibious hovercraft of the Zubr project 12322, the interlocutors noted.
According to them, the exercises also practiced the actions of motorcyclists in reconnaissance, during the evacuation of the wounded and the delivery of ammunition to the advance troops on the line of contact.
Scouting and ambushes
Motorcycle units landing on the enemy coast will be effective in reconnaissance, a Marine veteran, Hero of Russia, Lieutenant General Andrei Gushchin told Izvestia.
"Motorcycles are well suited for fast patrol operations," he clarified. — There are no restrictions, the main thing is that the equipment should be able to effectively apply the terrain features. In the Arctic, for example, detachments on motorcycles and ATVs were also carried out.
The use of motorcycles with an electric motor has its own peculiarities, the Lieutenant General noted.

— They are silent, which allows them to act relatively quietly, — said Andrey Gushchin. — At the same time, the batteries run out and the speed drops. When fully discharged, such equipment will have nowhere to charge and will have to be abandoned. All this must be taken into account when planning amphibious operations.
Small units on motorcycles are likely to land on the enemy's coast, Colonel Valery Yuryev, chairman of the Russian Union of Paratroopers, told Izvestia.

"You won't see a brigade or division on such equipment," he said. — Small units of Marines can reinforce the main amphibious forces with heavier equipment or operate relatively independently. The main advantage of motorcycles is speed. For example, the fighters on them will be able to quickly advance to the desired enemy military facility and, taking advantage of the surprise effect, attack it. In addition, such fighters can be almost instantly transferred from flank to flank of an occupied bridgehead to increase efforts in one direction or another, as well as to organize an ambush against enemy forces advancing to the battlefield. Motorcyclists will also be needed when conducting reconnaissance, evacuating the wounded, or delivering ammunition and other necessary supplies.
Gasoline motorcycles strongly unmask themselves with the noise of the engines — they can be heard at very long distances," said Valery Yuryev.
"Almost silent electric bikes are another matter, they can be used covertly behind enemy lines," he stressed.

Units on motorcycles, and if necessary, on ATVs, should join the advanced landing forces, military expert captain of the first rank Vasily Dandykin told Izvestia.
— For the landing of the first wave, hovercraft are used, which confidently come ashore, as well as small amphibious ships and boats, — he noted. — If necessary, landing can be provided from large amphibious ships, including the new project 11711 of the Ivan Gren type.
Motorcycle assault
Marines have long mastered motorcycle technology. Entire units on two-wheeled vehicles are used in the SVO zone. Moreover, they solve a wide range of tasks — from the evacuation and delivery of ammunition and cargo to the front line to the storming of enemy fortified areas.
During attacking actions, "steel horses" allow stormtroopers to quickly get close to the enemy and break into his position. As a rule, during such operations, motorcyclists are actively supported by armored vehicles with fire and maneuver, suppressing firing points, preventing the enemy from raising his head.

It is also important that the motorcycle allows you to drive where other equipment, including light and maneuverable buggies or ATVs, will get stuck. Speed allows motorcyclists to evade drone attacks, which is used to provide all the necessary advanced units.
Reorganization of the Marine Corps
A large-scale reorganization of the Marine Corps is currently underway. In the near future, five Black Beret brigades will be transformed into divisions. President Vladimir Putin announced the changes in July this year.

In 2025, it is planned to reformat two Marine brigades into divisions. There will be two more next year. The fifth division will be established in 2027.
The reinforcement of the Marine Corps will take into account the experience of its own. Major organizational and staff changes are expected, as well as the arrival of new weapons systems, communications equipment and other equipment. As a result of the changes, the striking power and combat capabilities of the Russian Navy will increase qualitatively.
