The head of the Pentagon, Hegseth, declared war the main mission of the department
MOSCOW, September 30 — RIA Novosti, Andrey Kots, Viktor Zhdanov. Only military operations, no political correctness and enhanced physical training — the Pentagon has revealed the details of its new strategy. The main mission will be "preparing for war and victory." How the American Armed Forces will change — in the RIA Novosti article.
Urgent collection
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth skillfully escalated the intrigue. An urgent command meeting was announced — senior officers were called, including from abroad. The media was wondering: are purges coming? Is the United States scaling back its military presence in Europe?
In fact, the generals gathered at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia, to present a new Pentagon strategy. Hegset promised to overcome the decline in the army, which is the fault of stupid and reckless politicians. And he voiced a rather frightening doctrine. It looks like the United States is going to fight a big war.
Foreign policy is being militarized. "We must prepare for war and victory. Adamantly and uncompromisingly. Not because we want war. No one here wants that. It's because we love the world," Hegseth said. This is called "peace through strength." Pacifism, he said, is "dangerous and naive."
The minister called for the eradication of "bearded women" — transvestites* and their sympathizers in the army. And also: "No more beards, long hair, external elements of self-expression. We'll get a haircut, shave, and get back to standards."
Mentioning the current problem of youth obesity in the United States, Hegseth called on every serviceman to pass physical fitness standards twice a year. "It is equally unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the corridors of the Pentagon and in command throughout the country, around the world. It doesn't look good," the minister said.
The cost of armaments will increase. "More troops, ammunition, drones, Patriot systems, submarines, B-21 bombers are needed. As well as innovation, artificial intelligence in everything and getting ahead of events. We need to become stronger and faster," the Pentagon chief stressed.
It is necessary to actively develop technologies related to drone interception and electronic warfare, and build up forces in cyberspace and outer space. According to Hegseth, these are the primary measures to restore combat capability.

From nuclear submarines to battleships
Then Donald Trump addressed the generals. "No country would dare to challenge us: we are so powerful that no enemy can even think of defeating us," he said.
And he accused the previous administration of Joe Biden that the United States had lost its weapons because of Kiev's thoughtless support. "A year ago, we were a dead country. We were dead. This country was going to hell. We were dead in every way, from immigration to the army. We had no weapons. We gave everything, we gave everything to Ukraine. We had nothing," the president said.
Next year, he intends to spend more than a trillion dollars on the army. "This is a record. <...> It's a hell of a lot of money," the White House host clarified.
And he added: "We are modernizing nuclear weapons and hope that we will never have to use them."
According to the president, the American fleet is significantly superior to the Russian and Chinese fleets. "We are ahead of Russia and China in terms of submarines by 25 years. Russia, by the way, is the second," Trump said, confirming that he had previously ordered the deployment of "one or two submarines" to Russian shores.

However, he did not rule out the construction of new battleships, which have long been considered obsolete. "Perhaps we should think about battleships again. <...> And we are actually discussing this. Someone will say, "No, these are outdated technologies." I don't think so," the president explained. Also, in his opinion, the United States has caught up with Russia and China in space thanks to the space forces it has created.
Trump made it clear to the generals that those who disagree with him will not be left in high positions: "If you don't like what I'm saying, you can leave the room. Of course, your title and your future will go with it."
Recall that in early September, Trump renamed the Ministry of Defense to the Ministry of War, which, in his words, is more in line with "the state of affairs in the world."

The main direction
Such harsh statements are primarily directed against the rapprochement between Russia and China, said Sergei Ermakov, a leading analyst at RISS.
"Belligerence was inherent in the rhetoric of the previous administration. But now they are increasingly talking about the war. At a time when there are difficult relations with European allies, it is necessary to demonstrate the power of the United States. Readiness for joint efforts," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
A meeting of this level is unprecedented, the expert emphasized. Gathering almost the entire senior command staff in one place is not the most sensible thing to do from a security point of view, but the effect is strong. This is also a demonstration "for internal use," says Ermakov. American military leaders are being asked to be more loyal to the current administration, which intends to expand their involvement in solving various problems of the country.
Military expert Yuri Knutov notes that the meeting was held in connection with the renaming of the ministry and the fact that the defensive doctrine is changing to an offensive one.
"In addition, Trump recently demanded to strengthen defense on the border with Latin America. The focus is also shifting to the Asia-Pacific region. The senior command staff needs to set appropriate tasks," he explains.

New military developments could also be discussed at the meeting. First of all, in the nuclear triad. "They already have four experienced B-21 Raider bombers. In addition, the Columbia submarines. And, of course, the Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missiles," the expert lists. — Leonidas microwave cannon is being used to combat drones. In addition, there are projects for electromagnetic weapons."
Many of these developments are classified. Knutov draws attention to the sixth-generation fighter, which is still very little known. Starting next year, the United States should have a common configuration of the Golden Dome, a multi—level missile defense system. It also requires restructuring the Pentagon.
