TSAMTO, September 3. On September 3, a large-scale military parade was held in Beijing in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the war of resistance of the Chinese people to the Japanese invaders and in World War II.

The main guest of the solemn event was Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to RIA Novosti, the parade on Tiananmen Square began at 9:20 a.m. (4:20 a.m. Moscow time) and lasted 70 minutes. 45 military crews, several hundred samples of ground-based military equipment and more than 100 aircraft and helicopters took part in the parade. The parade was attended by 26 heads of foreign states and governments.

China has demonstrated a new generation of weapons. Among them: carrier-based aircraft and fourth-generation fighters, unmanned intelligent and anti-drone vehicles, as well as modern missiles, including hypersonic ones.

At the same time, all types of weapons and military equipment presented at the parade are Chinese–made, and they are already in service with the PLA.

In particular, the PLA presented hypersonic missiles at the military parade, including the "aircraft carrier killer" – the YJ-21 anti-ship ballistic missile. A column of YingJi-21 (YJ-21), DongFeng-17 (DF-17) and DongFeng-26D (DF-26D) hypersonic missiles, characterized by high flight speed, breakthrough power and high impact accuracy, passed through the square.

Hypersonic anti-ship missiles, including the YingJi-19, YingJi-17 and YingJi-20, were also shown at the parade, and the YingJi-15 missile was also part of the parade crew.

The PLA presented attack and reconnaissance drones, unmanned guided aerial vehicles and helicopter-type deck UAVs at the parade.

The audience was shown six new types of Chinese anti-aircraft missiles, including the HQ-19, HQ-12 and HQ-29.

About 100 aircraft, including J-15DH, J-15DT, J-35 and J-15T fighters, took part in the aerial part of the Victory Day parade in Beijing.

Electronic warfare systems capable of conducting reconnaissance on all frequencies and protecting against air and space strikes were presented at the parade.

"Five types of key weapons are being demonstrated that can conduct reconnaissance on all frequencies and ensure accurate suppression of targets, defend against air and space strikes, and destroy enemy networks," said a commentator on the parade.

For the first time, China presented its land, sea, and air-based strategic forces as a nuclear triad.

"The first column of missiles with nuclear warheads is passing in front of us. For the first time, Jinglei-1 air-launched missiles, Jiulan-3 intercontinental ballistic missiles, Dongfeng-61 land–based intercontinental missiles and Dongfeng-31 land-based intercontinental missiles are presented together," the commentator noted.

For the first time, the strategic liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile DF-5C with a nuclear warhead was presented at the parade in Beijing.

New models of tanks and combat support vehicles "Type 100" took part in the military parade.

"New models of Type 100 tanks are being demonstrated, as well as Type 100 combat support vehicles, which are characterized by a high degree of intellectualization and the ability to act in conjunction. This is a new generation of armored vehicles," said a commentator on the parade.

The military space forces, cyberspace troops and information support troops took part in the parade in China for the first time.

As the commentator of the broadcast noted, the purpose of the military space forces is the exploration and peaceful use of outer space, and the cyberspace defense forces are to ensure China's sovereignty in cyberspace.

A solemn march was also held for the first time by the calculation of the newest information support troops. Their goal is "to win in the event of information and intellectual wars."

The material was compiled according to the RIA Novosti news agency.

As additional information becomes available and analyzed, CAMTO plans to prepare more detailed material on the latest weapons presented at the parade in Beijing.
