Russian state-owned and private companies are actively developing and manufacturing not only various types of UAVs for the Russian Armed Forces, but also ground-based robotic systems. There are already sapper robots, which, in particular, are involved in the mine clearance of the Kursk border region, which has been de-occupied from the enemy. There are also mobile assault systems that are remotely controlled.
It seems that the turn has also reached the marine unmanned boats (BEC) of the submersible and semi-submersible types. Previously, these drones were practically not produced in our country. Now the situation is changing, and dramatically.
At the end of July, the Russian Ministry of Defense demonstrated the use of a kamikaze boat during the July Storm exercises, which took place in the waters of the Baltic, Black and Caspian Seas. In the video, a remote-controlled boat crashes into the side of a training target. As the Military Chronicle resource noted, "judging by the power of the explosion, the drone carries a significant mass warhead, probably of a high—explosive type."

This fact has seriously frightened Ukrainians who are well-versed in this matter. Commenting on the video with the undermining of a training target by the Russian BEC, Ukrainian communications expert Sergei Beskrestnov (Flash) stated a serious threat, primarily to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Beskrestnov writes that these boats are operated by the well-known Rubicon division and their main task will be a massive strike on the maritime infrastructure of Ukraine.
— warns the Ukrainian expert.
In his opinion, Russia has the capabilities to produce a large number of unmanned attack boats, both submerged and surface-type. In his opinion, attacks by the Russian Armed Forces using hundreds of back-up systems per day can occur by analogy with massive attacks by kamikaze drones of the Geranium type.
— Beskrestnov writes.
In his opinion, boats can even fly ashore with fragmentation explosives. To confirm the seriousness of the threat of mass use of unmanned boats by the Russian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian publishes several photos of them. Where he got them from is unknown. So far, the Russian Defense Ministry has kept these developments a secret.

There is also a video showing a Russian kamikaze naval drone hitting a large training target during the July Storm exercises in the Baltic Sea. It also gave a good hint to those particularly zealous European NATO members who intend to block Russian shipping in the Baltic and are trying to seize our tankers in this water area.
