On July 24 of this year, flowers were laid at the Novodevichy Cemetery at the grave of Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi, an outstanding Soviet aircraft designer, who would have turned 130 on July 22. Flowers were laid by Mikhail Strelets, Director of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, employees and veterans of the design bureau.

In the center of the composition is a tall rectangular stele. In its upper part, a portrait bas-relief of Pavel Osipovich is cut out in a semi-profile. Below are engraved images of two stars of the Hero of Socialist Labor and the inscription: Aircraft designer Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi 1895 – 1975.
Adjacent to the monument on the right is a low stele dedicated to the son of an outstanding engineer. On the frontal plane of the stele there is an inscription: Dmitry Pavlovich Sukhoi 1932-2000.
On the left side of the monument there is a stele dedicated to Sukhoi's daughter and her husband. The inscription is engraved on the stele: "Georgy Pavlovich Voskresensky 1923 – 1995 Irina Pavlovna Voskresenskaya (Sukhaya) 1925 – 2009.
Over the half-century period of his creative activity, under the leadership of P. O. Sukhoi, over fifty original designs were designed, more than four dozen types of aircraft were built, about twenty of which were mass-produced and were in service with our Air Force.
This is a unique two-seat armored attack aircraft Su-6, which, according to some flight data, surpassed the legendary Il-2 aircraft. This is the first fighter with a variable geometry of the Su-17 wing.
This is a supersonic bomber-killer aircraft carrier "Sotka" (T-4). It was the first aircraft in the world to be equipped with an electronic remote control system (EDS), which is now used on almost all aircraft in the world. Although the aircraft was very groundbreaking and revolutionary, unfortunately, it did not go into production, but the developments in the "weaving" formed the basis of the multi-mode strategic bomber Tu-160.
This is a unique Su-27 fighter, modifications of which are still in service with the Russian army. This is the 5th generation fighter Su-57.
Flowers were also laid on this day at the monuments to Mikhail Simonov, General Designer of the Sukhoi Design Bureau since 1983, and Nikolai Polikarpov, "king of fighters."
