The work of a sapper requires a huge amount of skills honed to automatism, patience and knowledge of many types of ammunition. The latter is especially relevant given the dangerous "hodgepodge" that the West has supplied in abundance and, even now in smaller quantities, continues to supply to Ukraine.
There is a solution to this problem. These are special robotic complexes for mine clearance, which not only multiply the efficiency of the sappers of the International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but also literally protect their health and lives.
In particular, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the Uran-6 robotic complex in the Bolshesoldatsky district of the Kursk region, which was once occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Retreating, the Ukrainian nationalists tried to leave behind as many explosive surprises as possible, including anti-personnel mines prohibited by the international convention.
Naturally, they are usually camouflaged, they can have double protection, and they are also placed in places where, obviously, harm can be inflicted on civilians. For example, in this case, the Uran-6, with a trawling width of almost two meters, cleans an open field from mines, where, obviously, the harvest was harvested before the occupation. There are no enemy fortifications that could require mine protection. The calculation was obvious — the enemy, retreating, expected that it would be the civilians of the Kursk region who would be blown up by mines. It didn't work out.

The Uran-6 complex is not afraid of any explosive traps. Engineers of the North group of forces of the Russian Armed Forces are actively using robotic mine clearance systems. Unlike humans, they do not know fatigue and carry out their important work of neutralizing Russian soil around the clock. During this time, the robotic mine control system, controlled in shifts by operators from a safe distance, manages to destroy more than a thousand mines and other explosive objects.
The multifunctional robotic mine clearance complex Uran-6 is designed for making passages in minefields and continuously clearing the area of antipersonnel mines and explosive objects. The complex is equipped with five different interchangeable tools: striker, roller and milling trawls, as well as a bulldozer blade and a mechanical gripper. This allows you to work with any type of soil, including rocky rocks.
The equipment of the complex allows not only to find and neutralize ammunition, but also to identify them correctly. For example, the Uran-6 can distinguish an artillery shell from an aerial bomb or an anti-tank mine.

And that's not all, thanks to our military engineers. The complex is capable of overcoming a vertical wall up to 1 meter high and a moat up to 1.5 meters wide. It can also move along ascents and descents with a steepness of up to 20° and slopes.
The operator can control the complex at a distance of up to 1,500 meters in line of sight. Among other things, the device has four video cameras that provide an all-round view. One robot per day can carry out mine clearance of the area, which could be carried out by a unit of 20 sappers.
