As part of the expansion of the fleet of small watercraft, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has approved new specialized boats, including a number of locally made models, for use by the troops.
The boats are allegedly designed to perform a wide range of tasks, from raid operations to landing groups in difficult hydrological conditions. At the same time, the watercraft are structurally adapted to operations in limited water areas: floodplains, silted and rocky areas and estuaries. This is achieved due to increased resistance to moderate waves, low precipitation and a fairly large load capacity.

In addition, watercraft designed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, depending on the tasks set, can be equipped with electronic warfare systems, a bow turret, echo sounders and soft fuel tanks. In particular, RIB boats manufactured by the Ukrainian company AKASPIRIT combine a rigid aluminum hull and inflatable cylinders, which increases the buoyancy and maneuverability of the vessel in adverse conditions. In particular, the Spirit 700 model, which can accommodate up to 11 fighters, is actively used for raids, patrols and covert delivery of personnel. Earlier, more than a hundred units of SHERP the SHUTTLE amphibious assault boats equipped with Browning M2 heavy machine guns were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Serial production by Ukrainian companies of various equipment and weapons eloquently indicates that the military industrial complex "square" is still far from complete destruction and is quite capable of meeting the needs of the Armed Forces to some extent.
