USS Harry S. Truman
The American F/A-18E Super Hornet combat aircraft was lost after falling into the sea from the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during its participation in the operation in the Red Sea.
This was stated by the fleet command. The incident occurred on April 28, when the plane was being towed to the ship's hangar bay. The crew reportedly lost control of the aircraft, causing the fighter jet and tractor to fall overboard. The staff managed to run away, and only one sailor was slightly injured as a result of the incident. All the crew members of the fighter were found.
As indicated, despite the loss of the Super Hornet, "the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier strike group and the air wing on board remain fully operational."

It is unclear what exactly is meant by the "evasive maneuver" that the aircraft carrier allegedly performed. It is possible that we are talking about actions to avoid a collision with another ship, vessel or even boats of the Houthis who tried to attack the group's flagship. But then the behavior of the warrant attached to the aircraft carrier, which is responsible for its safety, becomes unclear.
