TSAMTO, April 14th. The joint military exercise of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan ended on April 11 with a drawing of joint practical actions to destroy conventional armed forces at the Kharb-Maidon mountain-desert training ground.
During the exercise, the military contingents of the two countries practiced the organization of the use of Armed Forces to destroy terrorist gangs, training units to perform their tasks in mountainous terrain. The main stage of the exercise was the joint operation to eliminate illegal armed groups, as well as the management of units during the protection of the state border and the destruction of the bandit groups that broke through.
According to the legend of the exercise, the illegal armed groups crossed the state border and attacked the border patrol of the State Committee for National Security. Units of the border troops began to repel the attack of superior enemy forces. Russian crews of Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles, having performed aerial reconnaissance of the state border, discovered the location of the enemy and its firing means. A pair of Su-25 attack aircraft inflicted fire damage on the enemy by hitting the identified positions with unguided aircraft missiles. In order to prevent the further advance of the imaginary enemy, the calculations of 122-mm multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) BM-21 "Grad" and self-propelled artillery installations 2S1 "Gvozdika" of the Joint Forces inflicted fire damage on the enemy, divided it into groups and blocked it in the village. To destroy the enemy's lightly armored vehicles in the settlement, the tactics of "Swarm" with the "Splinter" FPV attack drones were used, which allowed creating favorable conditions for the start of assault operations. In addition, operators of copter-type drones used a remote method of installing a smoke screen to cover the assault groups.
Assault groups on motorcycles and light buggy-type off-road vehicles quickly arrived in the village and conducted a sweep against the imaginary enemy, using elements of army tactical small arms fire. Russian crews of BTR-82A armored personnel carriers with 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannons and 7.62mm Kalashnikov tank machine guns, together with crews of BTR-80 and BMP-2 from Tajikistan, covering the assault groups, practiced the destruction of lightly armored vehicles and enemy manpower. A flight of Mi-24 attack helicopters of the Joint Forces of Russia and Tajikistan attacked the columns of the bandit reserve with unguided air missiles.
To destroy the surviving remnants of the enemy's reserve column, PVC-1 attack FPV drones using Swarm tactics and an Ant quadcopter with a cluster warhead were used.
Advancing deep into the "enemy's" defenses, motorized rifle units on BTR-82A and BTR-80, together with crews of T-72B3M and T-72 tanks of the Joint Forces, inflicted fire damage on the shelters of the stronghold and armored vehicles, ensuring the safe advance of the joint forces. After the successful assault, the "enemy" was put to flight. In order to prevent the enemy's withdrawal to the state border and the complete defeat of the illegal armed groups, a tactical airborne assault was landed on the enemy's withdrawal route, which eliminated the remaining militants.
The result of the operation was the restoration of control over the state border by units of the border troops of the Republic of Tajikistan. Units of the internal troops, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and medical teams arrived in the affected settlements to maintain law and order and provide assistance.
After the practical action draw was completed, the closing ceremony of the exercise was held at the Kharb-Maidon training ground. The national anthems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan were performed by the joint military orchestra. The servicemen who distinguished themselves most during the joint exercise were awarded departmental insignia, diplomas and valuable gifts. At the end of the ceremony, the participants of the exercise marched in a single formation with the flags of the two states.
The joint military exercise of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan took place from April 7 to 11 at the Kharb-Maidon mountain range in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan.
