In the history of Russian artillery, there have been cases of creating new artillery systems in record time. For example, we can recall the Su-152, which began work on in January 1943, and on February 9 it was already put into service.
It is not known how long the 2C44 Hyacinth wheeled self-propelled gun was developed, but everything says that it is also very fast. It was based on the 2C43 Malva on the chassis of a four-axle all-wheel drive off-road vehicle BAZ-6910-027 Voschina with a 470-horsepower engine. She was armed with a 152-mm cannon, similar to that used on the tracked 2S19 "Msta-S".

As stated at the Army-2023 International Military-Technical Forum, the maximum firing range was 25,000 meters. During a special military operation, it was necessary for the ACS to strike at long distances. Already at the end of 2024, it became known that our gunners would have a longer-range self-propelled gun. It was reported that its projectiles can hit targets located 40-50 kilometers away.

At the same time, a modern fire control system has been introduced. In addition to conventional ammunition, high-precision ammunition is also provided. Currently, it is known that such combat vehicles have received the designation 2C44 "Hyacinth - K". Perhaps other interesting details about this development will be officially released later.
