The Turkish Air Force has begun using tablet computers installed in the cockpits of F-16 fighter jets to ensure the rapid integration of new weapons developed in-house. It is possible that the Turks "spied" this decision in Ukraine.
Ankara has developed its own fire control system for the upgraded F-16C/D Block 40, designated UBAS, which uses locally produced software. The UBAS interface is reflected on the tablet, allowing you to control weapons such as long-range cruise missiles SOM-J.

At the same time, the pilot has another tablet on his lap, which is becoming more common, complementing the information received through on-board systems and helping to get rid of bulky paper magazines in the cockpit.
Earlier, Ukraine followed this path, adapting existing aircraft platforms to new weapons, which allowed Soviet-era aircraft (MiG-29, Su-27) to use Western air-to-ground weapons.
