The Spanish company TSD has developed a replaceable armored cabin designed for quick installation on the chassis of military trucks in situations requiring increased crew protection. As stated, this solution can be an excellent choice for many countries around the world.

According to the manufacturer, the installation and dismantling of the armored cabin takes only 6 hours. It is assumed that units of NATO countries will be able to use trucks in the usual configuration during their service on national territory. At the same time, when conducting foreign missions, when the emphasis is on safety, the armored cabin can be integrated without the need to replace the chassis.
In order to simplify the installation/disassembly process, TSD has developed all the necessary accessories for the chassis.

The cabin provides Level 3 ballistic and mine protection in accordance with STANAG 4569 standards (it can withstand a bullet from a 7.72 x 51 mm cartridge and detonation of 8 kg explosives).
The Portuguese Ministry of Defense has already expressed interest in the armored cabin, noting that it is necessary for troops to participate in international operations. It will be mounted on MTV ("medium tactical vehicles") purchased by the army.
