In the Navy, unmanned aerial vehicles are used for aerial reconnaissance at sea and in the coastal zone, as well as to protect facilities and carry out attacks on the enemy.
Cadets are trained not only in the operation of drones, but also in ways to counter similar enemy equipment.
According to military expert Dmitry Boltenkov, such changes in the curriculum were predictable, since unmanned aircraft have become widely and universally used in modern combat operations.
- said the expert.
He believes that nowadays it is impossible to do without drones either at the front or on a warship.
Boltenkov also drew attention to the fact that increased requirements should be placed on the navigation systems of naval drones, since there are no landmarks on the water surface that are available on land.
