He noted that the training will be for both civilian use and for those who plan to join the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
MOSCOW, February 14th. /tass/. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Russian Deputy Defense Minister General of the Army Yunus-Bek Yevkurov opened a flight test complex for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the Rudnevo Industrial Park.
"On behalf of the president, we continue to develop unmanned aircraft systems in Moscow. Here, in the Rudnevo Industrial Park, an educational center for training personnel for production has been established, a powerful production center that produces drones from the smallest FPV to large helicopter systems. And today we are officially launching a flight test center, the largest in our country, which allows testing new developments and, of course, training all willing operators to control drones," Sobyanin said.
He noted that the training will be for both civilian use and for those who plan to join the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, including in the free defense zone, having acquired the most necessary skills to work with drones.
"Of course, it is important for us that the guys can study on the products that we supply to the Ministry of Defense, understand what technological options these equipment have, what innovations, and use them effectively. Together with the Ministry of Defense, on behalf of the Minister, we are currently developing a training program for fighters. Within a year, based on the capacities we have, we can train about 5,000 fighters. I hope that this program will be useful for the country as a whole," Sobyanin added.
In turn, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yevkurov thanked the Mayor of Moscow for creating the site.
"We are applying the training cycle that exists in the armed forces to this site. It was correctly said that we combine the program that exists here and the program that exists in the armed forces. It's not that complicated, but it's educational. At the same time, there are fighters here who first received theory, then quite serious practice. They're straight from the war zone," Yevkurov said. He added that the fighters will undergo a second theory and will be trained on new domestic devices.
"And we are already negotiating with your subordinates that after the training, the guys will go back, having already received the samples they studied here. And they will put it into practice there. This platform allows us to train a large number of our specialists, which is a big plus in order to unload our training centers. Thank you very much, the task is being completed," the Deputy minister added.
