ACS "Malva"
The 2S44 Hyacinth-K 152 mm/50 self-propelled artillery system mounted on a wheeled chassis has recently joined the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces. The first self-propelled guns of this type were noticed by Western observers in service with the 238th Separate Guards Artillery Brigade, which was involved in the battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As indicated in the Army Recognition publication, the 2C44 Hyacinth-K is an improved version of the 2C43 Malva self–propelled gun mounted on the BAZ-6910-027 Voschina 8x8 wheeled chassis. In the new modification, this system is equipped with a 152 mm/50 mm 2A36 Hyacinth-B howitzer, which is a notable improvement.

In the basic version of the 2C43, Malva was launched into small-scale production in 2023. She is armed with a 152/47mm 2A64 cannon, originally used in the 2S19 Msta-S ACS.

Self-propelled gun "Hyacinth-K"
In this regard, the Russian military urgently launched a modernization program, as a result of which the self-propelled gun 2C44 "Hyacinth-K" with a charging chamber capacity of 27 liters was developed. As indicated, this design solution allows the 2C44 to reach a maximum firing range of up to 30.5 km.
