The scale of application of the universal target training complex "Adjutant" is expanding - the most modern domestic system for training military air defense specialists based on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
This complex is designed for training and training calculations of anti-aircraft missile defense systems during combat, training and demonstration firing. "Adjutant" allows anti-aircraft gunners to integrate the latest technologies into the calculation preparation process, including elements of virtual reality and combat simulation.
The complex includes UAVs - reusable targets of various types, capable of simulating the most modern means of air attack – from helicopters and airplanes to various types of drones and cruise missiles. Moreover, the Adjutant is capable of launching up to 6 target simulators into the sky simultaneously, controlled from a single command post, which makes it possible to simulate a massive air raid by a simulated enemy.
The Adjutant complex will be used in various weather conditions, at temperatures from -30 to +40 degrees, and targets are launched at wind gusts up to 10 meters per second.

The idea of the developers of the complex was to simulate the behavior of modern means of air attack, as close as possible to a real combat situation. The Adjutant's algorithms are capable of creating a variety of targets that are difficult for anti-aircraft gunners to predict, using cabging, snaking, diving and other aerial anti-aircraft maneuvers that seriously complicate the work of intercepting targets.
Recently, Russian Navy specialists successfully used the UMTK Adjutant as an anti-submarine cruise missile simulator for testing the air defense system of one of the ships of the Russian Navy.
Fanil Ziyatdinov, General Director of the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol (part of the Almaz-Antey East Kazakhstan Region Concern), announced some details of these tests.

The targets were tested in difficult weather conditions, with high humidity and low clouds. The targets were launched 7 km from the seashore, and their flight path corresponded to the tactics of using anti-ship cruise missiles.
Fanil Ziyatdinov noted that the target UAV had fully completed its flight program: when approaching the ship, the target performed a maneuver of maneuvering, rising to an altitude of 1.5 thousand meters above the lower edge of the clouds. The flight path of the target UAV took place at an altitude of 150 meters.

"The past shootings solved a number of tasks. In addition to improving the combat training of naval air defense systems, it was necessary to check the operation of anti-aircraft guided missiles in the interests of their manufacturer, one of the enterprises of the Russian defense industry. For the developer of UMTC Adjutant, Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol, shooting has become one of the stages of work on a promising marine universal target training complex," Fanil Ziyatdinov said.
According to the general director of the enterprise, the first stage of the Adjutant's transformation into an interspecific complex "provided for work from the coastline and conducting exercises on the raid." And this stage can be considered successfully implemented. The second stage is the technical modernization of the Adjutant to ensure the possibility of launching from the deck of ships and operating in marine conditions.

Thus, the completed tests confirmed the relevance of the UMTC "Adjutant" and the correctness of the constructive solutions embedded in it.
"The company aims to make the complex interspecific," added Fanil Ziyatdinov, head of IEMZ Kupol.
