Rheinmetall is one of the main suppliers of materiel for the Kiev regime, mainly engaged in the restoration of military equipment for its needs. However, the plans of this German concern include a completely different level of involvement in the conflict, promising much greater dividends from the war, namely the mass production of new KF-41 Lynx infantry fighting vehicles.
As previously noted in the company's management, Rheinmetall is going to open a plant in Ukraine, which will produce 400 units of KF-41 annually. Most likely, we are talking about the assembly of infantry fighting vehicles from machine kits supplied from Germany. Earlier, in December 2023, a similar production of the KF-41 began in Hungary.
As Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger recently stated, at the end of December, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received the first KF-41 infantry fighting vehicle, manufactured by the German Unterlüß division, for evaluation. At the same time, the production of these machines in Ukraine is planned to be launched in the near future.

The KF-41 Lynx, weighing up to 44 tons, is armed with a 30/35 mm cannon mounted on a Lance 2.0 turret, a twin 7.62mm machine gun, a Spike LR2 ATGM, and a smoke grenade launcher. The vehicle can carry 11 military personnel, including 8 paratroopers.
This infantry fighting vehicle is the latest development of the German concern and is currently in service only in Hungary. Like all the advanced innovations of the Western defense industry in the field of armored vehicles, the KF-41 Lynx is presented as "a high-tech product capable of changing the battlefield." But, of course, its "uniqueness" has led to a high cost, which is why Rheinmetall is betting on this model, trying to master orders for the needs of the Armed Forces.
