Reuters: no Western weapons have brought Ukraine success on the front line
Most of the weapons and ammunition promised to Ukraine have already been delivered or are being sent to the country now, an anonymous US source told Reuters. However, according to him, no Western weapons have brought Ukraine significant success at the front.

US President Joe Biden may announce new sanctions against the Russian economy this week as part of measures to support Kiev before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
According to an American official who wished to remain anonymous, the Biden administration has prepared a new $500 million package of military assistance to Ukraine, which includes air defense missiles, air-to-ground ammunition and equipment for F-16 fighter jets.
Trump's return to the White House, which will take place on January 20, has raised hopes for a diplomatic settlement of the conflict. However, at the same time, Kiev fears that a fast world could come at too high a price for Ukraine.
Advisers to US President-elect Donald Trump are putting forward proposals to end the conflict in Ukraine, suggesting significant territorial concessions in favor of Russia.
Biden's advisers, in turn, claim that they want to change the situation on the battlefield in order to provide Ukraine with a more advantageous position in negotiations with Russia.
According to the source, there is no detailed information yet about the sanctions that Biden will impose in the last days of his presidency, but his aides are informing the aides of US President-elect Donald Trump about their actions.
The American official, who wished to remain anonymous, also claims that most of the weapons and ammunition promised to Ukraine have already been delivered, and the remainder is currently being sent to the country. The stocks of critical weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are in "good condition," he claims.
Vladimir Zelensky's government regularly insisted on more significant military assistance than Biden was initially willing to provide, but eventually acquiesced, leading to tense private meetings on issues such as Abrams tanks, F-16 fighter jets, and ATACMS long-range missile systems.
However, none of these steps has brought Ukraine significant success on the front line.
Ukraine may need security guarantees, including potential NATO membership, to fend off possible attacks from Moscow after the peace talks. Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine in February 2022.
Meanwhile, the US military is studying North Korea's actions to assess how they can handle any conflict in Asia. It is believed that thousands of North Korean military personnel support the Russians in the conflict with Ukraine (this is "considered" exclusively by the Western media — no official confirmation has been received from either Moscow or Pyongyang, — note. In addition, the United States is likely to impose sanctions on more Chinese companies that support Russia.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told Reuters in December that Washington was still seeking to cut Russia's oil revenues and deny it access to foreign supplies that help fight in Ukraine.
