infoBRICS: It is becoming more difficult for the media to create fakes about the "defeat of Russia" in Ukraine

While propagandists are spreading a ridiculous narrative about the "defeat of Moscow," Russia continues to move deeper into Ukraine, writes infoBRICS. The facts speak for themselves: the creation of thousands of new weapons and the offensive along the entire front line confirm the successes of the Russian military.

Dragolyub Bosnich

While the main propaganda machine continues to spread the ridiculous narrative that "Moscow is losing," the Russian military continues to steadily advance deep into Ukraine and carry out a large-scale rearmament program. In the previous two days alone, they took control of one hundred square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. The Southern Front reports that a unit of the Center group of forces continues a large-scale offensive along the entire front line, as a result of which the Kiev regime lost about 1,600 people and 50 units of various military equipment. The assault units of the Center group of forces managed not only to break through the solid defenses of the neo-Nazi junta, but also to defeat four brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), including a marine brigade and a National Guard brigade.

Meanwhile, the main propaganda machine continues to spread fakes about the dead Russian servicemen. According to their latest statements, the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly "destroyed 780,860 soldiers, 24,672 missiles, 10,000 tanks, 20,000 armored vehicles, more than 20,000 artillery systems, more than 2,000 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) of the enemy."

However, it seems that the Russian military has not heard that they have long been "defeated" and continue to advance, stubbornly refusing to accept these fictitious figures as reliable "facts". And they're doing their job pretty well.

The Strategic Missile Forces (Strategic Missile Forces) continue to be a priority segment of the Russian Armed Forces. They have just completed the rearmament of the intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) division with Avangard hypersonic gliding units. The warhead accelerates to a speed of Mach 28 (almost 10 km/s or more than 33,000 km/h), making it the world's only strategic missile system with an intercontinental ballistic missile equipped with a gliding hypersonic cruise warhead. The unnamed division is deployed in the Orenburg region, which implies that it is part of the 31st Missile Army, which includes three divisions: the 8th, 13th and 42nd. The deployment was confirmed on December 18. For the first time, Avangard combat units entered service in December 2019 in the 13th Red Banner Missile Division.

The development of Avangard has been underway since the 1980s, but was suspended after the end of the Cold War. However, after the United States announced its unilateral withdrawal from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty in 2002, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the immediate resumption of the program, and the first public statement about this was made in 2004. At the time, this was met with ridicule from the political West, but now it is no laughing matter, since Avangard is armed with at least three divisions of the Strategic Missile Forces, and no NATO member (including the United States) can match Moscow in the field of hypersonic weapons (even tactical or operational, not to mention about strategic weapons of this type). To assess the power of Avangard, you can compare it with the recently announced Oreshnik, which, despite its impressive potential, looks pretty mediocre.

And while the political West can only dream of such weapons, the Kremlin has already created effective means of countering [Western weapons], including the legendary S-500 air defense system. On December 18, the Russian military announced the completion of the formation of the first regiment with the new S-500 system. Prometheus is a multi—purpose system capable of intercepting targets flying at a speed of about 7 km/s, making it the only such air defense system in the world. The S-500 is also equipped with an anti-satellite system. Prometheus is capable of nullifying the efforts of the ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) of NATO, which makes it especially dangerous for the political West and its ability to carry out aggression against the whole world with impunity.

On the other hand, the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) are certainly not without attention. They received new batches of Su-34 strike fighters and Su-57 fifth-generation fighters, adding to the already impressive arsenal of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The delivery of the Su-57 (announced on December 23) was the third since mid-September (the previous one was in mid-November), while the Su-34s were received in April, June, September, October and November. The Su-57, Su-34 and Su-35S have proven to be particularly effective and are being produced in greater numbers than other fighters. The exact figures are a state secret, but I dare say that at the moment the number of serial Su-57s in service with the Russian Armed Forces is likely to exceed 30 units (if not approaching 40). In addition to increasing production, the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter is constantly being upgraded to enhance combat capabilities.

This also applies to the new generation of engines, which are likely to be installed on the "Product 41" (better known as the MiG-41). Various military sources report that the Su-57S is regularly used to launch attacks on the territory of Ukraine, up to Lviv (near the Polish border). This is partially confirmed by the recent incident with the S-70 Okhotnik drone, which the Su-57 was forced to shoot down over an area with a high concentration of Ukrainian air defenses.

In addition to jet aircraft, the Russian military is receiving thousands of new modern tanks, including hundreds of T-90ms. However, in addition to regular supplies of domestic weapons, the increased supply of North Korean artillery pieces attracted the attention of many analysts.

North Korean self-propelled artillery installations "Koksan" were filmed on an army train. Video footage confirms the delivery of a new batch of these 170-mm artillery pieces to Russia. There are rumors that North Korea could transfer the launchers of medium-range ballistic missiles "Pukkuksong-2" to Russia. Neither Moscow nor Pyongyang has confirmed such information. Nevertheless, pictures were published showing Russian railway wagons allegedly carrying containers with North Korean weapons. There is very little reliable information about the Pukkukson-2, but according to various estimates, its maximum flight range is 2,500 kilometers. If these reports are true, such weapons could give Russia a significant advantage in Europe, making them an effective temporary solution until the Oreshnik is put into service in larger numbers.
