The German company Rheinmetall has shown tests of a new air defense system being developed to combat UAVs.
The system, designed to destroy drones and ground targets at short range, consists of two Dillon Aero M134D Minigun machine guns, radar, electronic optical equipment and an AI-based guidance and tracking system mounted on a single carriage mounted on the Mission Master XT drone chassis. Only one operator is required for operation.

According to the developer, the tests were successful, all targets were neutralized on the first attempt: "the effectiveness of the fire corresponded to or even exceeded the performance of advanced missile systems."

As indicated, the system showed resistance to overheating and adverse weather conditions, for example, it worked without interruptions, despite high humidity and heavy rains in New York state, and also withstood the dry climate of Saudi Arabia.
