The meeting was devoted to the topic of operation and maintenance of the SSJ-100 aircraft fleet
Representatives of the United Aircraft Corporation took part in a meeting on the operation and maintenance of the SSJ-100 fleet of aircraft, organized by the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation).
According to the data presented at the meeting, the intensity of operation of the SSJ-100 aircraft fleet in 2022-2024 is growing, at the moment it exceeds the pre-pandemic indicators. At the same time, in 2024, the level of serviceability of the SSJ-100 fleet in individual airlines reached 100%, and the overall level of serviceability of the fleet for the year did not fall below 75%.
Currently, there are 154 aircraft of this type in the domestic civil aviation fleet, included in the certificates of airline operators approved for commercial transportation. The Superjet 100 is serviced by specialists from 29 organizations.
"No matter what they say, the Superjet is a really good car. The intensity of its operation is comparable to its Western counterparts. Superjet aircraft will be operated and transported by our citizens for many years. Industry and carriers need to think about effectively supporting the Superjet in operation for a long time to come. We will solve this and many other tasks in the interests of Russians exclusively through joint efforts," said Dmitry Yadrov, head of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
Last year, Superjet 100 aircraft of Russian airlines transported 9.4 million people, or about 9% of the total passenger traffic of our country's air transport. The average distance of transportation per passenger was 1,650 km. A number of key Superjet 100 operators use them to operate subsidized flights bypassing Moscow, that is, due to the operation of these aircraft, the connectivity of Russian regions is growing.
By the meeting, Rosaviation specialists analyzed the safety of Superjet 100 flights in commercial civil aviation. In January-November, the number of incidents caused by the failure of aircraft on this type of aircraft decreased by 2.5% by the same period in 2023. At the same time, the number of Superjet 100 flights increased by 19.5%, to 134.4 thousand, according to the State ATM Corporation subordinate to the agency. As a result, one incident caused by aircraft failure accounted for 22% more flights than in January-November 2023.
Given the unprecedented external sanctions pressure on Russian civil aviation, the ban on the supply of Western spare parts and components to our country, special attention was paid at the meeting to measures to localize repairs and import substitution of foreign-made components. Since February 2022, the number of components serviced in Russia, according to the UAC, has increased more than fivefold and today stands at 311 items. At the same time, alternative developers from among Russian companies provided support for 214 components. In addition, in order to maintain the operation of the Superjet 100 fleet, nine alternative components have been developed, and by 2026 their number should grow to 59.
"We will continue to increase our partnership with Superjet operators. After analyzing the information received at the meeting from operators and the Federal Air Transport Agency, by the end of the year we plan to update our plans for the development of production or repairs of components that are primarily necessary for airlines to successfully use Superjet aircraft. We also plan to increase the regularity of holding conferences of operators with the participation of organizations engaged in maintenance, repair and manufacture of components, including those requiring import substitution. Such meetings are extremely useful for the future of the car," Vadim Badekha, General Director of UAC, commented on the results of the meeting.
