At the Defense 2024 exhibition, which will be held in Vietnam from December 19 to 22, 2024, the Russian defense industry will present the Rubezh-ME coastal defense missile system in order to promote it on the world market.

The Rubezh-ME system, located on the KamAZ chassis, includes a PU, a KP and several radars placed on the same platform. Active radar detects targets at a distance of up to 500 km, passive – up to 250 km. The range of fire is up to 260 km for export versions and up to 500 km for models developed in the interests of the Russian Navy.

The X-35UE missile, which is armed with the Rubezh-ME, is a subsonic RCC with a length of 4.4 m and a warhead weighing 145 kg. It is capable of neutralizing surface ships with a displacement of up to 5,000 tons using guidance systems combining inertial navigation, satellite positioning and airborne radar.

The missile flies at low altitude, from 10 m above the water, dropping to 3-4 m at the final stage of approach to the target, which makes it difficult to detect and intercept it. Its versatility also allows it to hit strategic ground targets such as bridges and military installations.

DBK Rubezh-ME

The high level of automation of the complex makes it possible to prepare rockets for launch in less than a minute, and control is carried out by a single operator. The Rubezh-M system is designed to complement the larger and more expensive Bal coastal missile system, which can carry up to 8 PKRS.

Several complexes can be attached to a mobile KP SKPUS mounted on a KAMAZ chassis and equipped with a Monolit-B radar. This radar increases the range of the system and the accuracy of tracking targets, as well as facilitates coordination with other units.

The Rubezh-ME battery can include up to 8 PU, which allows you to launch 32 missiles in one salvo, and thanks to TZM, recharge them within 30-40 minutes.

These features make the Rubezh-ME an effective means of countering entire naval fleets.

- it is said in the Western press.

Compared to the Bal DBK, Rubezh-M, combining all the components of the complex into a single platform, is characterized by a lighter design, reduced cost and improved modularity.
