Bending four "legs" under the body, the dog-shaped robot moves along the water surface, holding sensor equipment above it. A water cannon and inflatable floats mounted on each "paw" allow him to cross the barrier. When they reach the shore, they unbend, and the robot finds itself on land. The corresponding frames are shown online.
This is a new amphibious modification of the Vision 60 Q-UGV ground drone from Ghost Robotics. The propulsion module for it, designated NAUT, was developed by the American Onyx Industries.

The US Air Force is already using Vision 60 robots to patrol around Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida, where they march through the mud and keep the perimeter under surveillance. The new marine version will ensure the safety of the port infrastructure and individual military units.
As indicated in the publication Popular Science, the imitation of dogs when creating machines is due to the fact that the four-legged design makes it possible to move effectively over rough terrain together with people who are accompanied by devices. At the same time, modern "dogs" run on batteries and can move much quieter.

The NAUT propulsion module
The amphibious robot can swim for 35 minutes at a speed of 3 knots (5.56 km/ h), receiving power from the propulsion module, which, after its discharge, switches to power supply from the batteries of the "dog" itself.
- the publication says.
The equipment of the device may contain reconnaissance equipment or means of destruction, for example, an automatic rifle.
