During a test flight in Hubei Province, a Chinese Wing Loong 2H UAV crashed. He fell near the Olympic Sports Center in Jingzhou. The accident occurred on December 12 at about 11:10 a.m. local time.

Wing Loong 2H are manufactured by AVIC Aircraft manufacturing Corporation. They are used, in particular, by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the People's Republic of China in dealing with the consequences of natural disasters. So, in July 2021, the UAV, after disconnecting cellular communications during a large-scale flood, acted as a repeater.
Wing Loong 2H with a take-off weight of 4.2 tons has a long range and flight duration (32 hours or 20 at a maximum speed of 370 km/ h). It has a high load capacity (480 kg) and can operate in harsh weather conditions, including winds up to 10 points on the Beaufort scale (severe storm, wind speed 89-102 km/h).

The drone in the 2H version is equipped with several sensors, including electro-optical systems, synthetic aperture radar and cameras. In the event of a network failure, the UAV can establish an emergency connection on an area of 50 square kilometers.
As indicated in the Chinese press, during the Libyan civil war, the military version of the UAV was used by the troops of the Libyan National Army (led by Khalifa Haftar). The forces opposing it received 12 Turkish Bayraktar TB2 attack drones, at least half of which were destroyed by a Wing Loong 2 strike belonging to the UAE.
