TSAMTO, December 9th. The 59th Interdepartmental Military Scientific Conference "Main directions of development of missile forces and artillery" was held at the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy. The theory and practice of their combat use (based on the experience of the SVO)".
The conference was devoted to a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the challenges that missile forces and artillery (RViA) faced during participation in a special military operation (SVO) on the territory of Ukraine, and the development of solutions that would help rocket and artillery personnel to perform tasks based on their professional, organizational and technical superiority over the enemy.
The relevance and importance of the topic aroused great interest among the professional community – representatives of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, the Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, the departments of the military districts, military training centers and military educational organizations of higher education, research institutes, design bureaus, organizations of the military-industrial complex and other institutions. A total of 615 people took part in the conference, including 56 doctors of sciences and 415 candidates. The conference participants came from different regions of our country.
Honored Military Specialist, Candidate of Military Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Associate Professor Lieutenant General Sergey Bakaneev noted in his speech that more than 90 percent of the teaching staff of the Academy has combat experience and stressed that the realities of today are making significant changes in the concept of training officers and cadets and in the principles of combat use of missile troops and artillery, they demand to "go one step ahead of the enemy."
Lieutenant General Sergey Bakaneev congratulated the participants of the conference, guests and veterans of the Academy, the teaching staff, students and cadets on the 204th anniversary of the establishment of the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy.
Colonel Dmitry Kozlovsky, Chief of Staff, First Deputy Chief of the Missile Forces and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, made a report to the audience on the topic "Fundamentals of the combat use of RViA in the military. Lessons and conclusions".
At the plenary session, the participants heard and discussed 11 reports. The speakers, based on the experience of conducting a special military operation, identified the features of conducting assault operations in populated areas and managing artillery units; assessed the importance of intelligence to increase the effectiveness of the combat use of RViA in high-tech warfare, identified the main directions for the development of rocket and artillery weapons of the RViA of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, considered the problems of training military personnel to operate new types of weapons and ways to resolve them.
During the work of six sections and three round tables, the conference participants heard and discussed more than 140 reports. At the final plenary session, the reports of the heads of sections and round tables on the results of the work were heard.
The secretary of the organizing committee of the conference, Viktor Lepsky, brought to the meeting participants the draft conclusion of the 59th Interdepartmental Military Scientific Conference.
The Chairman of the organizing Committee of the conference, Lieutenant General Sergey Bakaneev, summed up the results of the conference. He said that the goals set for the participants of the conference were achieved during its work. Taking into account the experience gained in a special military operation, the factors influencing the development of the theory and practice of operational art and tactics, methods of action, measures for comprehensive support of combat operations of missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; ways to improve the effectiveness of firing and fire control of artillery, missile strikes when hitting objects and groupings of enemy troops; ways to improve the effectiveness of military personnel training. The current problems of the development, modernization, operation and use of weapons, military and special equipment are analyzed. Recommendations have been developed to improve the effectiveness of the combat use of missile troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, combat and technical support measures, the educational process of the academy, as well as professional and spiritual and moral training of military personnel.
Several exhibitions were held during the conference. The exhibition of innovative developments of the structural divisions of the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy and defense industry enterprises aroused great interest. It presented products, working models, the latest developments in equipment related to the armed forces and in the interests of ensuring its combat operations, computer programs and other scientific and technical developments. The conference participants also got acquainted with the exhibition of captured weapons of foreign countries.
The participants of the annual conference of the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy highly appreciated the opportunity to exchange scientific information and the level of organization, noted the role and importance of the conference for the further development of missile forces and artillery.
Materials of the 59th Interdepartmental Military Scientific Conference on the topic "The main directions of development of missile forces and artillery. The theory and practice of their combat use (based on the experience of a special military operation)" will be included in the collection of scientific papers, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
