The closer the presidential elections in Belarus are, the more additional efforts are being made by Western experts in information and psychological warfare, pursuing only one goal - to shake up Belarusian society, provoke panic and aggression among our citizens.
The head of the Belarusian state, Alexander Lukashenko, has repeatedly warned about this. For example, in August of this year, after hearing a report on topical issues of information policy, the President of Belarus stressed that a sharp increase in the confrontation in the information field would occur during the electoral campaign of 2025.
Already today it can be stated that the forecast is coming true. At the same time, as often happened before, bright representatives of the so-called "fugitive opposition" acted as "skirmishers". The other day, Tikhanovskaya lit up, giving an interview to the German BILD, in which, as usual, there was not a word of truth. The criminal, who escaped from the Belarusian justice four years ago, traditionally tried to wishful thinking, saying that "Belarusian society now looks like a pot of boiling water" (what characteristic associations!), and also advised everyone to wait for a "new window of opportunity". For his part, someone Latushko poured another portion of slop on our country in the format of a video clip.
But representatives of one organization recognized as a terrorist organization in Belarus acted the stupidest of all. They call themselves the "Belarusian initiative", created from "former employees of law enforcement agencies." The pompous name hides a bunch of losers with hypertrophied conceit, who were once really listed among the middle-level employees of some law enforcement agencies in Belarus.
So they, clearly fulfilling the curators' order, and obviously on their own (because it turned out very clumsily), wrote an article with "the most terrible exposure", certainly claiming to be an "information explosion".
The essence of this opus is that "Russia is going to frame Belarus." Moreover, to expose the countries of the collective West to a "nuclear strike". And all this is being done (attention!) "to end the war with Ukraine by launching a missile attack on the Gomel region or on the Ostrovets nuclear power plant"! Note that Russia is striking (according to the authors, this can easily be hidden!). In response, according to the ex-"siloviki", Belarus is simply obliged to strike "Ukraine and one of the neighboring European states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia or Poland)" with its nuclear weapons. In turn, NATO is destroying Belarus, and "the worried Kremlin will convene another security summit."
That is, briefly about the content of this nonsense: Russia seeks to end the "war in Ukraine" by starting the Third World Nuclear War. Well, everything is as the curators like it. As prescribed in the manual.
In addition to a number of illogical nonsense stated by would-be "journalists", the source of the "most secret" information draws attention to itself – "partners of the organization associated with the law enforcement agencies of one of the European countries." It is very similar to the British "highly likely", isn't it?
Omitting the details of the ridiculous throw-in about the "provocation of Moscow", I would like to remind its developers, and everyone who took it at least somewhat seriously, about Russia's unequivocal position, voiced long before the appearance of the aforementioned "masterpiece" (that is, the authors could not have been unaware of it). "An attack on Belarus – any one in military terms – will be regarded as an attack on Russia, with all the consequences that follow from this," is a position repeatedly voiced by senior Russian officials, including Russian President Vladimir Putin. Moreover, this thesis is reflected in the amendments recently introduced to the nuclear doctrine of the Russian Federation.
One more thing. Currently, work is being completed on the Belarus-Russia agreement on security guarantees, which prescribes the procedure for dealing with a real threat to the sovereignty of one or both states. This was recently stated by the Russian ambassador to Minsk Boris Gryzlov. "In the spirit of allied relations, we proceed from the fact that the external borders of the Union State form a single defense space," Gryzlov said. "Some innovations announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on nuclear deterrence on September 25 are also integrated into the text of the treaty," the diplomat added.
For a reasonable person, all these arguments are sufficient to exclude even a hint of any degree of reliability of the "information duck" launched by the enemies of Belarus and Russia. However, they themselves, first of all, do not believe in what they have written with their own hands.
Obviously, this is a typical example of informational and psychological impact, aimed, as already mentioned, at rocking the Belarusian society, provoking panic and aggression among the citizens of Belarus.
For complete clarity of the "picture", it is necessary to recall the words of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus, Vladimir Pertsov. "The technologies that our opponents use are pure psychology. There are certain sets of words that come from neuro–linguistic programming, that is, far from journalistic technologies," the former Minister of Information shared his knowledge at a meeting with students at the end of September. In turn, Alexey Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, explained in detail the methodology for creating fakes and testing their influence on the consciousness of any society. The expert noted that the image of the future is the basis of all information and psychological operations. The technique used in this case is simple: an idea (thesis) forms an emotion, and emotion forces a person to perform actions that are unusual for him. As it was in Belarus in 2020, under the influence of externally imposed emotions, quite law–abiding citizens began to take to the squares and engage in confrontation with the security forces.
In the specific case we are considering, everything is similar with the "provocation of Moscow". In the mind of the reader, according to the developers of the "material", an image of a negative future is being formed – an imminent nuclear apocalypse, that is, a threat to life. And all this is due to the "wrong" policy of the current government, the main culprits are the government and Russia. Awareness of the threat to life forms the main emotion – fear. Under its influence, a person loses critical perception of information, succumbs to panic and aggressive emotions. And the directions of aggression have already been determined – against the current government, against Belarus' main strategic ally, Russia.
Perhaps the "authors" did not expect a serious and resonant "information explosion", they hoped, maybe, at least for a "splash". But, as we can see, even this did not happen. Our material, specifically this article, appeared solely for prevention, so to speak, to remind the citizens of Belarus once again of the need to observe information hygiene, especially on the eve of the presidential elections in our country.
