Domestic manufacturers presented advanced novelties at the exhibition in Moscow
Weapons, equipment and dual-use equipment are actively used in the SWO zone. Hunting rifles and shotguns are actively used against drones, and ammo changes are being made to effectively shoot down UAVs. Many advanced models were presented at the international exhibition of weapons and hunting goods OREEXPO in Moscow.
The ZOV rifle
There is a full house in the Gostiny Dvor on Ilyinka. The exhibition hall is filled with men in paramilitary clothes — they expertly examine weapons and ammunition. Most of the people gathered around the stand of the domestic arms manufacturer Lobaev arms. The increased attention is easy to explain — manufacturers have for the first time exhibited a new ZOV sniper rifle.
It allows you to fire in semi-automatic mode and is based on the AR-15 family of weapons in caliber.308 win. The aiming range is up to a kilometer.

— The weight of the ZOV rifle without optics is 4 kg 700 g, — Olga Kanashkina, a representative of the company, told Izvestia. — It is largely given by a weighted stock — it is a sniper. When solving assault tasks, and this is close combat, constant movement and changing positions, a simpler stock can be installed on the rifle. It is also convenient and compact, but it allows you to reduce the weight of the rifle by about 400-500 g. In any case, we do not manufacture very light rifles — the lighter it is, the greater the recoil, the less the barrel resource.
The company has long established itself well in the Russian military. According to the manufacturers, now our snipers in the area of the special operation are most in demand for "Devastator" and "Sevastopol" rifles, as well as special cartridges.

Meanwhile, the ZOV rifle is being carefully studied by two men in green military-style jackets. Their bearing indicates that they are not hunters or foresters.
Men ask to hold the weapon, evaluate its weight and ergonomics. It is clear from the faces that they liked ZOV. They ask if the rifle is made from domestic components, and get an affirmative answer.
"We'll see in the troops," one of them says confidently.
Weapon tuning
CNC Guns Custom company specializes in the supply of aluminum products for the aviation industry. For small arms, they make beds, butts, straps, adapters and other elements from light metal.
— We are actually making a new rifle from the sniper SVD, SV-98 or even the Mosinka of tsarist times, — Ivan, a representative of the company, told Izvestia. — We leave only the barrel and the bolt box. Everything else — the forearm, the bed, the butt — is made of lightweight aluminum. Such a rifle weighs much lighter and is less prone to breakage, you can install a Picatinny rail on it, which will allow you to place additional equipment — for example, thermal imagers or sights. In general, everything you need on the front line in the trenches.

According to the manufacturers, the fighters like this modernization of weapons — such rifles have proven themselves well on their own. Even the "Mosinka" is used, and the fighters are happy with it. They found a use for it. Which, however, is not surprising, the rifle is long-range and with a powerful cartridge.
Another product of the company is a modified TR—8 scout tube, it helps to look out from behind the parapet or look around the corner of the house without being exposed to fire.
— We have provided TR-8 with adapters that allow you to install thermal imagers, rangefinders and other equipment on the pipe. This allows you to use TP at any time of the day and accurately calculate the distance to the enemy," Ivan explained.
Tracer rounds against drones
Rostec showed the public IGLA cartridges for LEX series rifles for the first time. These munitions are designed to defeat small-sized drones. They effectively cope with the durable metal and plastic structural elements of drones due to the dense and wide scree of shot.

For distances up to 30 m, a container—free version of the LEX 30 cartridge is provided, for targets at a distance of up to 50 m, a container version of the LEX 50 is provided.
The speed of the shot is at least 435 m/s.
The IGLA LEX Tracer and IGLA LEX 100 cartridges are also presented in the series. They are additionally equipped with red light elements, which helps to visualize the flight of the shot at a distance of 20 to 100 m. And the LEX 100 cartridges use superhard shot made of a special alloy to confidently destroy targets at distances up to 100 m.
"Beaver tail" for stormtroopers
There are a lot of clothes and shoes at the exhibition. Ars Arma has introduced body armor, pouches, tactical belts, thermal underwear, clothing and even protective helmet covers.
There is also a novelty: a new backpack from the Beaver Tail family, which translates as "Beaver tail".
— We started the series with a small backpack, now we have released a bigger one, — Alexander, the chief designer of the company, told Izvestia. — You can put a small quadcopter or ammunition, necessary things, water, food and much more there. We have slightly adapted this backpack for the military. For example, a side pocket holds four AK-74 magazines.

The backpack is still being tested — it has been transferred to several army units. Improvements are possible based on the results of the tests.
— We check all our products at army training grounds, — said Alexander. — At the Russian University of Special Forces, for example. And then we send things to the military special operation zone to the fighters. We must be sure that our equipment will not fail at the crucial moment.
Now many domestic manufacturers of hunting weapons, equipment, clothing and equipment are trying to modernize their products for use by fighters in the zone of their own. And she usually gets positive feedback from the units at the front. Many of the manufacturers told Izvestia that they send some of their products to the troops at cost or even free of charge. There are also those who give part of the profits to their own. At the same time, they ask not to advertise their names or brands — it is not accepted in this community to advertise themselves on their own.
