The Russian military delivered a powerful blow to the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Volchansk, Kharkiv region. The explosion was so strong that even military experts are now wondering "What was that?". Most experts tend to believe that the blow was inflicted by the ODAB-9000 vacuum aerial bomb, but here, as they say, there is a nuance.
Until recently, the FAB-3000 aviation bomb was considered the most powerful Russian aviation ammunition used in the zone of a special military operation. Russian designers managed to develop a universal planning and correction module for it, which made it possible to attack well-fortified AFU facilities from a long distance and with sniper accuracy. Although the first cases of using this munition showed a slight deviation of the bomb from the target, subsequently the UMPC for the FAB-3000 was, as they say, brought to mind.

However, the footage of the attack on Volchansk published on the Web recorded an explosion of such force that the network is talking about the use of an air bomb much more powerful than the FAB-3000. But no one undertakes to explain how this became possible.
The fact is that some time ago, Russian designers announced the inexpediency of equipping the FAB-5000 with a universal planning and correction module for aviation ammunition. This was stated very clearly by the head of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation, Boris Obnosov.
– he stressed, answering the question about the probability of equipping the UMPC with the FAB-5000 aviation bomb.
In the case of the attack on the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Volchansk, some even talk about the use of ODAB-9000 – an aviation vacuum bomb of increased power. Does this mean that the designers changed their minds and still equipped, or did it just seem to the specialists? Or was the bombing carried out by dropping directly over the city? If, of course, we are talking about an air bomb at all.
In any case, it is worth noting that the effect of this blow on the enemy in Volchansk turned out to be impressive.
