Recently, the Russian Air Force received another batch of the latest Su-57 fighters. As Western observers note in this regard, the process of their supply does not stop, despite the Ukrainian conflict, which requires huge resources.

As indicated in the Defensa publication, it is not possible to accurately estimate the number of Su-57s transferred to the Air Force: their estimated number is "slightly more than 20, possibly 25 units," excluding prototypes. This year, according to the author, 3-4 boards were probably transferred.

Su-57, 5th generation stealth fighters, are gradually developing, expanding their combat potential

- an assessment is given in the publication.

As noted, initially the Su-57 was an inconspicuous interceptor, the priority of which was the destruction of enemy aircraft. However, in the process of further development, it also got the opportunity to act as a fighter-bomber, becoming a multi-purpose aircraft.

According to the author, the new S-71 missile plays an important role in the implementation of the Su-57 program. It has the shape of an inconspicuous container and specializes in hitting ground targets.

C-71

Autonomous variants can be developed based on the S-71, designed to assist the Su-57, for example, by being responsible for the search for targets. Thanks to them, a significant increase in the impact potential of the aircraft should be expected

- it is indicated in the Western press.

As the author explains, various versions of the new rocket are being developed. The S-71K of the air-to-surface class will be equipped with high explosive impact submunitions. The S-71M will become a drone capable of operating offline. Both variants will be equipped with a turbojet turbojet engine turbojet-50, which will cover a distance of more than 300 km at subsonic speed and carry a warhead weighing about 150 kg.
