The German concern Rheinmetall showed the work of the latest armored mine clearance vehicle Keiler Next Generation (Keiler NG).

The Keiler NG is equipped with a full-size minesweeper, supplemented by the Rheinmetall Plofadder Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC). This system can clear a path at least 160 m long and 9 m wide by launching an explosive cable located at the rear of the vehicle, which detonates, removing extensive obstacles. The passages made by Keiler NG are visible to the forces following it, even in poor visibility conditions or at night.

Keiler NG has active and passive means of protection, including a magnetic signature duplicator capable of provoking mines to explode at a safe distance by simulating the "trail" of armored vehicles. The machine is equipped with a mechanism for emergency dumping of the trawl and can independently install it using the crane it has on board.

The developer claims a high degree of compatibility with other German equipment, such as the Kodiak engineering armored vehicle and the Leopard 2 tank.
