In Russia, after the start of its development, the Impulse-M robotic platform was developed. A ground-based unmanned vehicle weighing 1 ton is capable of carrying weapons or equipment weighing 500 kg and pulling another 1.5 tons thanks to a special cable.

In August, this platform was presented in combat equipment, receiving mines as a payload. This variant was designated "Impulse-KPTM".
As indicated in the Defensa publication, an autonomous unobtrusive device is able to imperceptibly place obstacles on the front line, near enemy positions. The enemy, having stumbled upon minefields, will change the direction of movement. By taking these movements under your control, due to the correct placement of mines, you can force enemy forces to take a route that will lead them to complete defeat, for example, thanks to a pre-organized ambush.
The minelayer is powered by batteries and, thanks to its 20 kW power plant, can reach a maximum speed of 10 km/h and move along slopes up to 25 degrees. It can work for 4 hours of operation. The communication equipment allows the operator to control the device at a distance of up to 1000 meters.

Optionally, as well as when using a fiber-optic cable, the distance between the operator and the drone can be significantly increased.
The mass of the Impulse-KPTM is 1350 kg, which allows it to be transported on various types of equipment. It can operate at temperatures from -25 to +40°.
