Combat, reconnaissance and attack drones have become one of the main attractions of this year's International Defense Industry Exhibition in Poland. Both "battle-tested" solutions and many new products are presented.
Many premieres for the Kielce fair were prepared by the Polish WB group, which unites more than twenty companies producing advanced defense and security systems. The WB Group's offer includes, among other things: FlyEye drones tested in combat conditions in Ukraine or Gladius unmanned search and strike systems.
WB Group presented the novelties of the "Warmate" family. The Warmate 20, as the name suggests, can carry a warhead weighing up to 20 kg. This is a powerful load. It is used to attack, for example, logistics centers, fuel centers and enemy concentration areas," says Remigiusz Wilk. This is a very advanced system. "In addition to optical sensors, we also use artificial intelligence," Remigiusz Wilk notes. He adds that an important element of the entire Warmate barrage ammunition line is the adaptation of unmanned aerial vehicles to launch from a universal launcher that can be integrated with vehicles.

The Warmate 50 has even more possibilities. This drone has aroused great interest due to its size. This is one of the most powerful so-called drones. Kamikaze. The manufacturer claims that it is capable of hitting targets at a distance of hundreds of kilometers.
The X-Fronter unmanned aerial vehicle became a big attraction of the WB Group stand. This is a small drone weighing about 1 kg, which is carried by a soldier in a protective vest. The system is modular, which means that, depending on the need, you can use a head equipped with a camera or an explosive charge. Takeoff is fast, it is enough to deploy the drone and throw it into the air. The control panel is also small. The X-Fronter can operate in groups of three interacting drones.

The Polish military group has also prepared its premiere at MSPO 2024. The ReconSKY drone is currently undergoing testing and was first introduced in Kielce. It is designed to monitor and protect critical infrastructure. This is an unmanned aerial vehicle of the flying wing design. The drone weighs about 3 kg and is launched using a simple rubber launcher.

One of the premieres was also the WITU-CyberHEAT drone. The unmanned aircraft is designed to carry GX-4 warheads manufactured by Belma from Bydgoszcz. Controlled by a single operator, the drone takes off vertically from any surface, but can also be dropped from a transport platform, which increases the range of use in various conditions. The design is very easy to manufacture and cheap using polyethylene foam.

The premiere of the Skydio X10 drone took place in the United States in September 2023. At MSPO 2024, it will be possible to see it for the first time in Poland. The manufacturer calls it a "third generation drone." What distinguishes it in the market is a very high degree of autonomy. Thanks to the use of six navigation cameras and the use of advanced artificial intelligence, the drone is able to independently design the best route and approach to objects.
